John Maxwell has done a good job of putting together the laws of leadership. His practical insights and anecdotes make this book a good read. The first two laws pretty much sum up the essence of the book: The Law of the Lid and The law of Influence. The rest of the laws are more like refinement on the above two. If you are stuck in a rut on why you are not a leader, then this book will tell you why. The only discordant note is, this book tells us what qualities that an aspiring leader should have, but not how. Nonetheless it is one of the few books on leadership that reads well.
